Business of the Senate
Here you will find links to the day to day operations
of the Australian Senate.
I have recently been appointed one of the Temporary Chairs of Committees. Usually about ten senators (both government and non-government) are nominated for these positions, and they provide relief for the Chair in committee of the whole and, when both the President and Deputy President are temporarily absent, in the Senate.

Senate Order of Business - This links to the Order of Business for the Australian Senate. While constantly subject to change during each sitting day, the Order of Business is a good guide to the debates that will take place within the Senate Chamber.
Notice Papers - The Notice paper is a guide to what business is currently before the Senate. Its structure is divided into four main categories, Matters of Public Importance, Business of the Senate, Government Business and General Business.
Senate Hansards - The Senate Hansard is a full transcript of each day's debate within the Senate Chamber.
